The Delta Islanders Jr A Lacrosse Club, and G.M. Jamie Scott, are pleased to announce that Sam Thauli has agreed to become the HEAD COACH of the Int A team for the upcoming 2012 season.
His lacrosse resume includes:
- 40 years of lacrosse playing or coaching in Delta
- Participated as a player and coached in Canadian Nationals
- Named Senior B coach of the year and BCLA Senior Coach of the Year in 1991
- 1993-94 assistant coach with the Ladner Pioneers
- 1997 Ladner Pioneers Co-coach and named coach of the year, hosted the 1997 Senior B Nationals and finished with a Bronze medal
- 2000 & 2001 Co-coached the Intermediate A team
- Has coached Novice Advanced, Pee Wee A1, Bantam A1, Midget A1, Intermediate A & B, Junior B, & Senior B.
- Member of the Senior B Ladner Pioneers Alumni

The Delta Islander Jr 'A' Lacrosse Club, NOW operates an elite five year box lacrosse program specifically committed to developing box lacrosse players between the ages of 17 and 21. The program is comprised of two teams the Jr 'A' team (17—21 year olds) and a development Intermediate 'A' team (17—18 year olds).
The coaching and management teams are dedicated to building a 'Championship Team' and furthermore are good ambassadors for this great game of lacrosse. We are interested in players, who wish to take their game to the next level.
Winning the Minto Cup is our goal and we want players, who share that same goal.
We are always on the lookout for talented lacrosse players with a winning attitude that can fit the Delta Islanders Jr 'A' Lacrosse Club organization, not only this season, but in the years to come.
HOWEVER—players from out of province are directed to the CLA web site and the Transfer Policy portion. Under the new rules (Jan 07) things are restrictive and do not allow Delta to communicate with you until after March 1st, and then only if you are not on your previous teams protected list. Transfers are now to be initiated by the players. Delta cannot and will not be able to communicate with you and we ask players to check out the rules on the CLA web site.
Players who have no ties to other clubs via: protected lists, residency rules, are able to contact us directly.
We are committed to every player, who expresses interest in the Delta Islander Jr 'A' Lacrosse Club and we will do everything possible to help you achieve your goals. We have extensive links to the NCAA, NLL and senior lacrosse across Canada.
